    The Buffalo Soldier Education/Training Center provides educational programs through career development and training programs. The center offers services such as college and Army personnel testing, academic skills training and undergraduate and graduate college program prep courses. The center also offers help with tuition assistance and offers career counseling and resumes preparation programs. The Education Center offers a Multi-Use Learning Facility which is open Monday through Thursday from 0730-1600.     The school district operates a Special Needs Preschool for three, four and non-kindergarten five-year-old children. Children in the program may participate in motor, cognitive and language activities specifically suited to their needs. Speech, physical and occupational therapy is also available when appropriate.

    The school system is operated in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona and is under supervision of the Cochise County School Superintendent.

    Students are registered at the school which houses their particular grade level.

    Myer School, located on Smith Avenue between Arizona and Burns Streets, houses all preschool, third, fourth and fifth-grade classes.

    Johnston School, located on Rucker Street between Winrow Road and Smith Avenue, houses all kindergarten, first and second-grade classes.

    Smith School, located at the intersection of Smith Avenue and Cushing Street, houses all sixth, seventh and eighth-grade classes.

    High school students residing on Fort Huachuca are transported off post to attend Buena High School(520-515-2800) in the Sierra Vista School District.
